Recipe Tuesday: Green Smoothie

We’re constantly being told about the health benefits of green smoothies. They’re detoxifying, energy granting and make you ‘glow’ so drink, drink, drink! 

But let’s be honest, often a green smoothie can taste like, well, grass. No matter how good we know it is for us, no one’s really up for forcing down a glass of damp-garden juice.

Well fret no longer because here for you on the first of my ‘Recipe Tuesday’ features is ‘Ellie’s Green Smoothie That Doesn’t Taste Like Grass’.

It’s vegan, super simple, super healthy and super tasty so what are you waiting for, crack out your blender and drink, drink, drink! 

Ingredients

  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 banana, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 3 large ice cubes (roughly, I don’t know why but i always put in 3!)

Directions

  1. Add the spinach, banana, cinnamon and almond milk to the blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add ice to the blender
  4. Blend again until smooth.
  5. Enjoy!
